What's your name and profession?

My name is Eaint Thanzin and at the moment, I am working as a Sales Team Leader at Tokyo Tatemono Asia Company.

What were your challenges?

My biggest challenge is that although it is not difficult for me to land a job, I always end up with jobs which I am not satisfied with or drains my energy a lot and eventually I feel stuck in my career. Additionally, I didn't know clearly what I am good at, my needs and wants, hence, I wasn't able to sell myself the best. So, I was looking for a third person's point of view over my career to receive an objective observation.

How was your experience working with Laura? (Please explain the process you’ve been doing)

It was an enlightening experience. I was discovering more about what kind of person I am careerwise and also personal-wise; it was like connecting the dots and finally seeing the bigger picture for the first time in my career. And Ms. Laura shade some highlights on things that I have not been focusing much on such as my financial needs and goals.

What are the results you’ve gotten?

The results have been positive. I have been reflecting a lot about what I learned from the coaching and Ms. Laura definitely helped me to realize my pros and cons as well as my leverage points for better selling. I feel like I have never been clear and focused as much as right now about my career.

Any notes that you’d like to add.

Ms. Laura has the patience of a saint and is easy to open up to. She will listen to you very well and she will give you the best advice which you never knew you needed before. I couldn't recommend her enough. If you feel stuck in your career and you don't know what exactly you want or need like I did before, just talk to her.

What were your challenges?

Since I was young I was in a rush for my life. I keep busy myself at work, school and everything. When I took a career break for my maternity, I realized that I didn’t have certain life goals. I just kept rushing not to stay behind other people. I thought I was productive. But I didn’t have a specific career goal. When I was thinking about changing my career, I couldn’t decide.

How was your experience working with Laura? (Please explain the process you’ve been doing)

At that time, I got a career opportunity but I cannot decide whether to do it or not. I get career coaching with Laura Cho. I analyze myself which are my personality, skills, strengths and weaknesses. She gives me advice for how I should work on that career to improve and handle challenges.

What are the results you’ve gotten?

After the coaching session, I can set my new career goal which is a life insurance agent that currently I am working. I realize what are my skills and strengths which I can use to reach my goals. I can notice which might be challenging for me even during daily life. I know the solution to how to handle that career changing challenge.

Laura Cho is very friendly which I love the most. She listens well and gives career coaching with love. Even after the coaching session, I can still talk to her about my challenges and she still gives me the best advice. I feel like I got a sister or a close friend with whom I can share my struggle and get professional advice. I highly recommend Laura Cho for career coaching based on my own experience.

What were your challenges?

I was frustrated myself ,doubting that my current career path is a good fit for me or not .I always think of myself I am not good enough and need to develop myself but what I need to know is what is my current skill set and how should I develop and those skills and values of mine are needed to identify.

How was your experience working with Laura? (Please explain the process you’ve been doing)

This was my first time investing in a coaching session apart from work place.I was looking for someone who can help guide me on my career path as a third party ,outsider view.I met Ma Laura and talked with her personally and believe that she could help me. Working with her was a really good journey for me.My favourite part is how she listens to hear the voice of my heart. The sessions with her made me realize what I am really good at which I thought I was not good at or suitable for.

What are the results you’ve gotten?

As a result,I have got the areas I need to improve and skills I need to refresh.My doubts before are clear and I feel more focused on my strengths and areas where I need to put more effort.

ကျမ နာမည် ကတော့ ဖူးပြည့်ကိုကို ပါ။ Civil Engineer တစ်ယောက် ဖြစ်ပြီး လက်ရှိ Singapore မှာ အလုပ် လုပ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီမှာ အလုပ်လုပ်တာ နှစ်တွေ ကြာလာတာနဲ့ အမျှ လူက အလုပ်မှာ Passion မရှိတော့ သလိုလို၊ လက်ရှိ အလုပ်မှာ မပျော် သလိုလို၊ depression ဝင်ချင် သလိုလို ၊ ဘာဖြစ်လို့ ဖြစ်နေမှန်း မသိခဲ့ပါဘူး။ နေရတာ စိတ်ထဲ ရှုပ်ထွေးပြီး မပျော်ဘူး ဆိုတာပဲ သိပါတယ်။ ဖြစ်ချင်တာတွေ၊ ဖြစ်သင့်တာ တွေကြားမှာ ရောထွေးနေခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အဲ့လိုနဲ့ WFH ကာလ မှာ မ Laura နဲ့ Career Coaching လုပ်ဖြစ်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အရင်ကတည်းက သူ့ရဲ့ video လေးတွေ လေ့လာ နားထောင် ဖြစ်ခဲ့ပြီး ခုချိန်မှာ အလုပ်သင့်ဆုံးလို့ ဆုံးဖြတ်ပြီး coaching လုပ်ခဲ့တာပါ။ ပထမ Assessment တစ်ခု စပေးတော့ ကိုယ့်ဘာသာ ဖြေနေရင်းလည်း မျက်ရည်ကျ မိတယ်၊ မ Laura နဲ့ discuss ပြန်လုပ်တော့လဲ မျက်ရည်ကျမိပါ တယ်။ Assessment တွေ ဖြေကြည့် ပြီးမှ ကိုယ့်ကိုကိုယ် ဘယ်လိုလူ လဲ ဆိုတာ သေချာ သိခဲ့တယ်။ အားလုံးပြီးသွားတဲ့ အခါ မှာ ကိုယ်က ဘာတွေကို သဘောကျ သလဲ၊ ကိုယ် ဘာတွေလိုအပ်လဲ၊ ဘာတွေ ပြင်ဆင်သင့်သလဲ၊ နောက်အလုပ်တွေ မှာ ဘယ် career မျိုးကို ရွေးချယ်သင့် သလဲ ရှင်းရှင်းလင်းလင်း သိလာပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ ပေးရရင် ပိတ်ဆို့ လမ်းပျောက် နေတာ တစ်ခုကို ဖွင့်ပေးလိုက် သလိုပါပဲ။ ခုချိန်မှာတော့ ကိုယ့်ဘက်က သိရှိပြီး သလို လိုက်ပြီး ပြောင်းလဲ လုပ်ဆောင် ဖို့ပဲ လိုပါတော့တယ်။ ကိုယ်ဘာဖြစ်ချင်လဲ၊ ဘယ်က စ လုပ်ရမလဲ ရှင်းရှင်းလင်းလင်း သိသွားတာ က စိတ်ထဲ အင်မတန် ပေါ့ပါးပြီး နေလို့ကောင်းပါတယ်။ ပေးရတဲ့ fee ကလည်း လူတိုင်း တက်နိုင်တဲ့ ပမာဏ တစ်ခု မို့ ပြန်ရ လိုက်တာနဲ့ ယှဉ်မယ်ဆို အရမ်းကို နည်းလွန်းပါတယ်။ ခုလို problem ဖြစ်နေတဲ့ လူတိုင်းအတွက် တက်နိုင်တဲ့ Fee တစ်ခုနဲ့ ဒီလို Coaching မျိုးတွေ လုပ်ပေးတဲ့ အတွက် မ Laura ကို အရမ်း ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်။ အားလုံး ကိုလည်း ကျမ လိုမျိုး များ ခံစား နေရရင် တွေဝေ အချိန် မကုန်စေပဲ Coaching အမြန် လုပ်ဖို့ တိုက်တွန်းချင်ပါတယ်။ နောက်လဲ လိုအပ်တဲ့ အချိန်မှာ မ Laura နဲ့ အတူ ထပ်ပြီးတော့ တိုင်ပင်ဆွေးနွေးမှု တွေ ပြုလုပ် သွားဦး မှာပါ။ ကျေးဇူးအများကြီး တင်ပါတယ် အစ်မ။

What were your challenges?

I had a hard time getting past face to face interviews. And, not getting selected for the next stage on most of the roles that I have applied for. My main challenges would be the job-hunting process as a fresh graduate.

How was your experience working with Laura? (Please explain the process you’ve been doing)

The best thing about coaching sessions with Ma Laura is that she gave me very insightful tips on the employer point of view. She helps me to reflect on areas I could improve, especially in choosing the right words on the resumes and saying the right things at the interviews for respective roles.

What are the results you’ve gotten?

I got less nervous and more confident in impressing the employer through applications and interviews. I prepare customized resumes and cover letters for each role I applied for. I hope my efforts reflect on the results!

Overall, it has been a pleasure to learn new things from Ma Laura while sharing my concerns to her regarding job-hunt. She answers all my questions very patiently. I am thankful.
